Georgina Heywood-Smith has become known for her signature black and white engraved artworks, all inspired by her surroundings across the south-west of England.
Georgina’s work is founded in realism and is a close observation of her environment in the south-west. Her artwork ranges from the permanence of history andarchitecture to the fragility of seasons and nature.
Georgina practices in one of the oldest forms of printmaking to create her work, and the labour-intensive process to create her pieces allows for time and space to study her chosen subjects in great detail.
This year Georgina has exhibited at the Royal Commonwealth Society exhibition: Hope & Humanity, at 44AD Artspace in Bath. Also at the Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition 2022, at the Mall Galleries, London. Recently Georgina has exhibited at the NEAC Annual Exhibition 2022 and currently exhibiting at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2022.
