Phoebe Phillips: Icons in Retrogade

Phoebe Phillips is an illustrator and screen printer based in Frome. Drawing on inspiration from pop culture - past and present - she reimagines nostalgic curiosities with an unmissable vibrancy through illustration and hand-crafted screen printing.

Her love of the weird and wonderful shines through in the collection she’ll be showcasing at Icons in Retrograde. Depicted in her distinctively retro illustration style, her works depict a series of familiar icons, from larger-than-life pop stars to bite-sized penny sweets.

Chris Pig returns to the gallery with 'The Dab Hand'

Award winning printmaker Chris Pig returns to The Why Gallery with a new body of work. Chris has been an artist printmaker for 40 years and has exhibited throughout the world including Guangdong Museum of Art China, Douro Museum of Printmaking Portugal, Pallant House Chichester, the Ashmolean Museum Oxford, the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
